Well known and loved by millions of people across the world, Marks and Spencer offers high quality fashion, award-winning food and stylish homeware.
Founded more than a century ago and with 1,000+ stores across 45+ countries, today we are one of the UK's leading retailers. We understand the importance of Quality, Value, Service, Innovation and Trust and live by these values in everything that we do. Through constant innovation, we make our own products and tailor the shopping experience to delight our customers around the world.

Trust has been at the heart of our business for over 135 years, whether it’s how we treat our employees, protect the environment or help communities. In January 2007 we introduced a new eco and ethical plan called Plan A (because there is no Plan B for the one planet we have) to tackle a new set of 21st Century challenges.

Plan A set out 100 environmental and social commitments to achieve by 2012. We’ve achieved most of them and have been recongnized for our achievements through numerous awards.

But that is not enough. There are new, bigger challenges to tackle. That is why in 2014 we have launched Plan A 2020, consisting of a 100 new, revised and existing commitments, with the ultimate goal of becoming the world's most sustainable major retailer.

Through Plan A we work with our suppliers and employees in order to inspire our customers to be in touch with the societies on which our success depends, to innovate to improve things and act with integrity .

There is no Plan B.

Our longstanding history of innovation helps us lead the way with first-to-market products across fashion, food and homeware.
